Ford radiators are designed to keep the engine of your Ford vehicle cool. However, the same components are being pointed as one of the major causes of engine overheating and car breakdown—that is, when the radiator has failed or malfunctioned. The radiator is that component of your Ford's engine cooling system whose main function is to dissipate the heat that the coolant has absorbed to the outside atmosphere. Although its name would imply that it radiates heat, the radiator actually dissipates the coolant's heat not by radiation but by convection.
