Audi will be launching a new model series that will unite the acclaimed Audi design language with thrilling driving performance spiced up with the generous refinement exemplifying the brands very essence—quality and sophistication---the Audi A5.

The A5 with its progressive design provides it with an appearance that is not only elegant but dynamic. It is also equipped with a muscular FSI and TDI engines, high-precision running gear, and a raft of innovative, luxury-class equipment features. The A5 is available for order starting March 6, 2007 with the first vehicle scheduled for delivery in June.

The Nuvolari Quattro concept car created in the year 2003 gives the first hint of Audi’s vision for a powerful and sophisticatedly designed coupe that is oozing with high performance and a progressive styling that signifies a bold step into the future. Many elements from the Nuvolari were adapted in the Audi A5 and that includes of course the use of quality Volkswagen parts such as the Volkswagen tie rods.

The A5 is a coupe that pictures elegance and a high level of sporty features which enables this car to provide an exhilarating dynamic performance and comfort over long distances. Its length measures 4.63 m which clearly shows that it belongs to a superior class of coupe. Its four comfortable seats and its ability to carry 455 liters of load volume make this car the ideal vehicle for a comfortable long distance travel.

The A5 is powered by an FSI and TDI engines with rated power ranging from 125 kW to 195 kW. All of its engine variants share environmentally friendly and efficient characteristics. The engines power is transmitted through the front-wheel drive or through the Quattro four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

According to Walter de Silva, Head of Volkswagen Group Design, “The Audi A5 is the most beautiful car I have ever designed� and he said this with full conviction.
